Thea Dyring is a multidisciplinary designer based in Oslo, Norway, specializing in textile design, graphic design, and patternmaking.

In 2019, she founded her design company and the brand Canem Studio, aiming to offer discerning customers products that embody a sustainable, minimalist urban aesthetic. In collaboration with MiaCara, these products have been subtly refined and optimized, becoming part of our exclusive Leather Walk Collection.

To me, quality really equals longevity. True quality is something that can withstand the test of time — in terms of aesthetics, materials and craftsmanship. This is what I really want to portray in my designs: urban culture meets Nordic wilderness. Aesthetically pleasing, yet functional and everlasting products.

My goal was to create a minimalistic Y-front design that provides even weight distribution, ensuring that pull comes from the chest, minimising rubbing and irritation and maximising comfortable ease of movement.

I designed the pieces with several key features in mind: an anatomical shape with minimal hardware. Carefully considered pulling points and weight distribution, resulting in pull that comes from the chest, and straps that offer freedom to move without rubbing or causing irritation.
